Color Changer

Someone asked me if I ever do tricks with cards where I can change the selected card a different color.  The conversation eventually went down the path of why I choose to change it a particular color. I said well changing a black card to a blue card is not much of a contrast so in turn the reaction is not as big (as though the similarities in color make it easier), so I go with major contrasts like black card to white or yellow. Often however some will believe I am using trick cards so I will use more conventional colored decks like reds and blues from time to time, but even then I still prefer a red to turquoise or blue to pink or orange change. Doing it this way not only improves the reactions, but also helps to attract distant onlookers since they too can see the more contrasting changes.
